“Ubuntu is an ancient African word meaning ‘humanity to others’. It also means ‘I am what I am because of who we all are’. The Ubuntu operating system brings the spirit of Ubuntu to the world of computers.” – from Ubuntu.com

Ubuntu is a Linux distribution that is completely free and open source. It’s an ideal operating system solution for people with old hardware who want to upgrade to a new operating system. Ubuntu runs smoothly on most hardware created within the last decade.

Windows users: Use Wubi to install Ubuntu on your comp. It’ll set it up to dual boot  with Window$. Or go to Ubuntu.com and make a CD from the .iso.
