What I Did On My Day Off: Sleep.

Sleep is a beautiful thing: it’s relaxing, peaceful, and essential. I haven’t been getting a lot of sleep lately, mainly due to my awkward sleeping schedule. Today I had the glorious opportunity to sleep in without fear of missing work or any other important events. I slept in until one in the afternoon. It’s probably the first time I’ve gotten over nine hours of sleep in one night for several months. I woke up completely refreshed. I was a bit irritated that I had slept half the day away, but the overwhelming feeling of natural energy made up for the few hours I had lost.

That being said, I really didn’t do much of anything today. I wanted to get my haircut today, but the barbershop was closed when I arrived. I did accomplish a few things though; I folded the laundry, cleaned out the inside of my car, and refilled the windshield wiper fluid reservoir. Other then that, today was pretty much fraught with nothing.

With that being said, I didn’t feel that pictures and/or a podcast were really necessary for today’s post. I apologize for the lack of podcasts lately… I’ve just forgotten about them for a while. I’ve also struggled with finding an appropriate time to record a podcast– I usually write these posts late at night, and recording a podcast then is virtually impossible because I would wake up my parents if I attempted to record a podcast. I’m also a bit pissed that I haven’t been able to actually record the kind of podcast I initially wanted to when I first considered buying a podcasting mic. I haven’t been able to record conversations with my friends because Jon has been gone on vacation for the past two weeks, and Kristin is “busy”. Honestly, I don’t know what the hell Kristin is doing. I haven’t talked to her for a few weeks.

Rest assured, podcasts will resume soon… As far as videos go, I would really like to wait to post any videos until I purchase a new video camera. Future electronics purchases have been placed on standby currently due to my financial situation (or lack thereof). I have to focus on spending my money wisely in the future so I don’t end up in the same kind of mess later. The past couple of days have really sucked, and just scraping the cash together to go to the movies yesterday was difficult. I can barely afford to get my hair cut right now, and I’m hoping that I won’t have to refill the car’s gas tank until next Friday.

Life sucks when you don’t have money.

I think I’m going to cut off this “lack of money” complaint/rant here. I gotta work tomorrow, so it’s time to go to sleep too. Thanks for reading, and all comments are appreciated.
